During his music journey, Areza has been played in various jazz event such as Bali Jazz Festival, Java Jazz Festival , Pasar Jazz at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta and several jazz events in Jakarta, Manchester and London.Besides mastering drums as his main instrument, Areza also playing piano and arranging, orchestrating, and writing original composition.
In order to broaden his musical knowledge, Areza studied at Institut Musik Daya . Some of his notable lecturers at that time are Deviana Daudsjah, Peter O’Leary, Peter Scherr and Aksan Sjuman. Later on, Areza had the opportunity to study at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London under the guidance of Brian Abrahams, Trevor Tomkins and Huw Warren.
After his comeback from London, Areza studied film scoring under the supervision of Indra Perkasa and Aksan Sjuman, and music composition under guidance of Otto Sidharta.
He involved in several movie as an Assistant Composer, such as Sokola Rimba (Mira Lesmana and Riri Riza, 2013), 12 Menit Untuk Selama nya (Hanny Saputra 2014) Tabularasa (Adriyanto Dewo, 2014 ) and Love and Faith (Benny Setiawan, 2015).
As the Composer, he already made score for Princess Bajak Laut dan Alien ( 2014) and Nada Untuk Asa (Charles Gozali, 2015). Areza made film score for several short movie as well, such as Kathang Isip (Short movie from Phillipine by Jops Madarang, 2013) and La Memoire des Sentiments (short movie from France by Rachmania Arunita, 2015 )
Right now, he is one of the Film Scoring lecturer at Sjuman School of Music. He also teach Drum, Piano and Ensemble at Music Republicain.
